Adjectives

Los adjetivos son palabras que modifican, completan, describen o señalan características del sustantivo.

Look at the pictures and read the descriptions below.

(Observa las figuras y lee las descripciones de abajo.)

This is Arthur. This is Rachel. This is Edward. Is Alice fat?

He’s thin. Her hair is long. Is he short? No, she isn’t.

His hair is short. She’s short. No, he isn’t. What’s she like?

He’s very tall. She’s pretty and What’s he like? She is thin.

He’s very intelligent. very funny, too. He is tall. She is tall, too.


thin = delgado /a fat = gordo /a
short = corto / bajo tall = alto
long = largo / lejos pretty = bonita
funny = gracioso / a intelligent= inteligente


Notas:
• Para los adjetivos no se tiene en cuenta el género, es decir, se los usa para el masculino y el femenino indistintamente.

• Van siempre adelante del sustantivo que modifican.

• Esta posición sólo se tiene en cuenta cuando están como frase.

• Cuando queremos expresar lo mismo, colocamos una coma y luego la palabra TOO, que significa TAMBIÉN.


Ejercicios: Expresa lo mismo de arriba pero de diferente manera.
